Alfredo Sy | PA-C
Board-Certified Physician Assistant | Dermatology Specialist
Alfredo “Al” Sy is a board-certified physician assistant with 40+ years of Combined Dermatology Experience (with Dr. David Allyn), specializing in skin cancer treatment as well as various skin, hair, and nail disorders. Since 2011, he has been dedicated to providing expert dermatologic care, ensuring his patients receive compassionate and effective treatment.
Al completed the Physician Assistant Program at Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, Florida, and is an active member of both the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
A United States Armed Forces veteran, Al served 12 years in the U.S. Air Force as a medic, gaining hands-on experience across multiple specialties, including family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, gastroenterology, medical-surgical care, and emergency medicine.

He also deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, demonstrating his commitment to serving others in both military and medical capacities. During his military tenure, he earned degrees in Allied Health Services (Community College of the Air Force), Business with a specialization in Healthcare Administration (Bachelor’s), and Human Resources Management (Master’s).
Passionate about building long-term relationships with his patients, Al combines his military discipline and deep dermatological knowledge to provide compassionate and expert care, all while enjoying hobbies such as fishing, cooking, traveling, playing tennis, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Dr. David Allyn, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. As the Medical Director of Numela Dermatology & Aesthetics, he oversees all aspects of patient care, ensuring the highest standards of dermatologic treatment and aesthetic procedures. His expertise lies in skin cancer treatment and excision as well as cosmetic skin procedures, helping patients achieve both health and confidence in their skin.
Dr. Allyn earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1991 and has since built a distinguished career in dermatology. He is affiliated with AdventHealth Orlando and Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, where he collaborates with leading medical professionals to provide top-tier care. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Allyn is a dedicated educator, serving as a teaching professor at various colleges and universities across Florida, where he mentors the next generation of healthcare providers.
